Agreement limits logging in Nantahala National Forest

Logging in an old-growth section of the Nantahala National Forest will be limited under an agreement between environmentalists and the U.S. Forest Service.
The Southern Environmental Law Center appealed the agency’s logging proposal for Haystack project on behalf of the Asheville-based Western North Carolina Alliance, Wild South and the Southern Appalachian Forest Coalition.
