The proposed rule to implement mandatory wholesale pork reporting has cleared USDA and moved to the Office of Management and Budget for review, the North American Meat Processors Association reported.
According to the OMB website, it received the proposed rule on Dec. 19, 2011.  After OMB’s approval, USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service will issue a proposed rule in the Federal Register with a 60-day public comment period before a final rule will be issued.
