AMI seeks applications for safety, environmental honors

The American Meat Institute is now accepting applications for its Safety and Environmental Recognition Awards.


• The Safety Recognition Award Program is a joint effort between AMI and the National Safety Council.
Plants can earn awards at various levels based on an evaluation of actual safety performance and implementation of various key components of an effective safety and health program as measured by the safety program questionnaire. For more information or to apply for the program, click here.

• The Environmental Recognition Awards (formerly MAPS) honors companies who have a continuous dedication to environmental improvement. Applications for this program are available for download here.


Applications for all awards must be completed by Jan. 20, 2012. The awards will be presented during the Conference on Worker Safety, Human Resources and the Environment. For more information about the conference, click here
