This year, Russia will export as much as 250,000 metric tons of poultry meat, according to an ITAR-TASS report.

While visiting Bahrain, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov told reporters that the country intends to bring that figure up to 400,000 metric tons by 2015 while keeping the domestic market supplied and the domestic price stable. Zubkov said 2011 exports totaled 20,000 metric tons, ITAR-TASS noted.
