Dear Friends,
I believe that the President’s new healthcare law will cost our country hundreds of billions of dollars for a mandated health system that most Americans don't support. That’s why I voted for a full repeal of the President's healthcare law last year.

We also know the President refuses to support repeal of his plan. So, while I voted for and still support full repeal of this costly and ill-conceived healthcare law, I'm continuing the fight by voting for bills that remove the most costly sections of the law.

This week the House passed, and I voted for, repeal of the CLASS Act, a government-run long term care program.

With six out of every ten seniors expected to need some form of long term care, there is no doubt this program was created with the best of intentions. Unfortunately, the CLASS Act was flawed from the very beginning. Both the Medicare actuary and the American Academy of Actuaries predicted that this massive new entitlement program would become insolvent after only a decade in existence.

After being taxed heavily for a lifetime of hard work, our senior citizens deserve better than this. We need to strengthen the programs already in place and reform our entitlement system for future generations. With the repeal of this ineffective portion of the President’s healthcare law, we’ve taken a positive step forward.

I need your input and involvement to help solve the healthcare crisis in our country.

Please click here to let me know if you think the President's healthcare law should be repealed.
Feel free to contact me if I can ever be of assistance.
Regards,

Patrick McHenry
Member of Congress
