Ellmers statement on conference committee negotiations

Congresswoman Renee Ellmers released the following statement from her office in Washington this afternoon:
"My House Republican colleagues and I maintain our commitment to resolving the differences between the House and Senate on this conference committee. We remain hopeful that a deal will come together as the deadline for an agreement draws near. Given the circumstances, I think it is prudent for our leadership to have an alternative strategy moving forward."
"We are doing everything in our power to ensure that hard-working Americans are protected along with responsible ways to enact this important policy without passing on the bill to our children and grandchildren."
