Annual Agritourism Networking Association Conference to be held March 8-9

Early registration ends March 1

The N.C. Agritourism Networking Association will host its annual conference focusing on “Successful Farms in Today’s Economy.” The two-day event includes speakers, workshops and networking opportunities.

Workshops will cover topics such as keeping your farm successful in today’s economy, using social media to expand your customer base, hospitality success and customer service, and maintaining the success curve after year one.

In addition, a reception will be held at Yesterday Spaces in Leicester Thursday evening. Participants also can take optional tours of local agritourism operations at Gaining Ground Farm in Leicester, Hop’n Blueberry Farm in Black Mountain, Hickory Nut Gap Farm in Fairview and Cloud Nine Farm in Fletcher.

The conference is open to agritourism entrepreneurs and anyone interested in rural tourism. Early registration by March 1 is $75 for ANA members, $85 for non-members and $35 for cooperative extension staff. The registration fee increases to $100 after March 1.
