Asheville area grocers join 'pink slime' exodus

Want to avoid “pink slime?” It may be easier than you think. Local grocery hotspots from Greenlife Grocery to Food Lion have joined the ranks of supermarket chains this week who are assuring customers they do not — or soon will not — sell beef that includes an additive with the unappetizing moniker “pink slime.”
