Congressman McHenry: Say "no" to higher taxes Story Date: 4/17/2012

Dear Friends, If you’re like most Americans, you’ve probably either spent the last few months struggling to complete your taxes or paid a professional to do them for you. The IRS estimates that taxpayers will spend over $35 billion dollars on costs associated with filing their taxes this year. It’s no wonder - the U.S. tax code has grown so long that it is now more than four times longer than the Bible!
If you’re not already fed up, keep in mind that if no action is taken, taxes will automatically go up by nearly half a trillion dollars in 2013. We can’t let that happen. I believe we need a fairer, flatter tax code that rewards success instead of punishing it.
If you agree with me and want to keep up with the fight against higher taxes, be sure to click here and ‘Like’ my Facebook page.
As always, feel free to contact me if I can ever be of assistance. Regards,
Patrick McHenry Member of Congress
