Womble returns briefly to legislature; committee voices support for compensation bill

State Rep. Larry Womble, who led the fight for compensation for victims of forced sterilization for a decade, returned to the legislature briefly Tuesday in a wheelchair to ask his colleagues to agree to provide that money.
