'Getting to Know Europe' grant competition

Help us explain the European Union in your Local and Regional Communities! The Delegation of the European Union invites proposals for projects to promote a greater knowledge of the EU in the United States. Under the 'Getting to Know Europe' program, grants of up to 75,000 euros will be awarded to support activities aimed at explaining the EU, its international role, and the significance of the transatlantic partnership to U.S. audiences.
Sponsored activities include conferences, training programs and study visits, cultural events, town twinning arrangements, exchange programs, and the development of information products. Selected institutions will receive funding for projects taking place between January 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014. The application deadline is September 4, 2012.
