Corn, soybean crop conditions decline in week

USDA reported 66 percent of the U.S. corn crop in major producing states was rated in good or excellent condition in the week ended June 10, down from 72 percent the previous week and 77 percent two weeks ago.

Last year at this time, 69 percent of the crop was rated good or excellent.

Soybeans
In its weekly Crop Progress report, USDA reported 60 percent of the U.S. soybean crop in good or excellent condition, down from 65 percent a week ago and compared to 67 percent at this time last year.

Corn futures prices for July delivery were trading around $5.92 per bushel late Monday afternoon on the Chicago Board of Trade while soybean futures traded around $14.27 per bushel.
