On Thursday, June 21, 2012, the House passed H.R. 4480, the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act, with a vote of 248-163. H.R. 4480 is composed of five individual bills that expand domestic energy production on federal lands, streamline government regulations, and boosts investment and economic growth in the energy sector. The five bills included in the package are: H.R. 2150, the National Petroleum Reserve Alaska Act; H.R. 2751, BLM Live Internet Auctions Act; H.R. 4382, Planning for American Energy Act; H.R. 4382, Providing Leasing Certainty For American Energy Act; and H.R. 4383, Streamlining Permitting of American Energy Act.
