N.C. Pork Council accepting applications for Environmental Steward Award

Applications for the Environmental Steward Award will be received by the North Carolina Pork Council between June 15th and September 15th. The goal of the program is to recognize one of our outstanding producers that excels in the area of farm environmental stewardship. Following review of all applications by the Environmental Stewardship Awards Committee and visits to selected farms during November and December, the winner will be selected and presented as NCPC's Environmental Steward of the Year at the 2013 NC Pork Conference. The winner will receive a $500 cash award and a farm sign identifying them as the recipient of this honor.
