NC Sen. Jones says he's being treated for cancer

A North Carolina state senator diagnosed with cancer says he still anticipates running for re-election in November if he retains his health. Democratic Sen. Ed Jones of Halifax County said Tuesday he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the early spring and is undergoing chemotherapy.
