Ag Biz Planner E-Learning Course
The Ag Biz Planner Program is funded in part by a grant from the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund Commission. Carolina Farm Credit will accept 10 YBSM famers/farm families to participate in a 10 module online course that is designed to:
· Assist young, beginning, small and minority farmers in becoming more successful business people through knowledge of the marketplace, financial and business management topics.
· Teach each farmer valuable skills that will enable them to develop a useful, meaningful, strategic business plan for their own business.

Interested applicants living in the Carolina Farm Credit territory must complete the application to be considered.

Deadline for application submission is Sept. 1

The ten-module program, being facilitated by Farm Credit University, consists of interactive exercises, an objective test, and application exercises. Curriculum topics will include:

Megatrends Facing the Industry
How Lending Decisions Are Made

Strategic Business Planning
Farm Business Management Factors

Preparing for Your Lender
Growth and Transition Management

Constructing Financial Statements:
The Balance Sheet
Personal Financial Management

Constructing Financial Statements:
The Income Statement and Cash Flow
Communications, Ethics, and Professionalism
