Buncombe district court judge to retire

Rebecca Knight, a Buncombe County District Court judge, has announced her retirement effective Aug. 1.
“It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of Buncombe County and the state of North Carolina for the past 30 years as a district court judge, an assistant district attorney and an assistant county attorney and an attorney in private practice,” she said in a press release.
