Report: Small-business tax cut could create 27,000 N.C. jobs

Small businesses may receive a tax break on new payroll and investments in equipment, if the U.S. Senate can pass the Small Business Jobs and Tax Relief Act. The estimated $28.5 billion tax-refund program will be on the Senate floor this week.
