Chemtex informational meeting - growing energy crops July 26

Sampson County Cooperative Extension, along with the Biofuels Center of North Carolina, is hosting an informational meeting on Thursday, July 26, 2012. This dinner meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at the Sampson County Agri-Exposition Center (Heritage Hall), 414 Warsaw Road, Clinton. The purpose of this meeting is to inform attendees of potential opportunities to grow energy crops for Chemtex International. As Chemtex has plans to construct the nation's first truly commercial cellulosic ethanol plant in Sampson County, this meeting will convey critical informaiton about growing energy grasses on your farm.

Representatives from Chemtex, USDA - Farm Service Agency, and the Biofuels Center of North Carolina will support with presentations and discussion.

In order to plan the meal accordingly, please RSVP to Frankie Waters at Sampson County Cooperative Extension (910-592-7161) no later than Tuesday, July 24.

NOTE: If you're interested but unable to attend on July 26, a second meeting hosted by Duplin County Cooperative Extension will be held on Tuesday, July 31, at the Cooperative Extension Building Auditorium located at 165 Agriculture Drive, Kenansville, NC (FMI...ph. 910-296-2143).
