Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will meet July 26 in Raleigh

The N.C. Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will hold its quarterly meeting, which is open to the public.

The agenda will include a presentation about marketing North Carolina agricultural products and how restaurants and grocery chains are using and promoting these products.

The Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council was created by the General Assembly in 2009. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler serves as chairman of the 27-member group, which includes farmers, educators, food industry executives, state agency heads, community activists and local-food advocates.
