New NC wheat recommendations make picking best varieties easy

Although wheat harvest is barely over, it is already predictable that wheat acreage is likely to increase this fall, says Randy Weisz, N.C. State University crop scientist. In his July crop update for wheat Weisz also notes there could be shortages of seed for the best varieties in the upcoming crop year, so he is urging growers to put in orders as early as possible.
