Poultry exports set year-on-year records for first half of 2012

U.S. poultry meat exports for the first half of 2012 set year-on-year records both in terms of quantity and in value, the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) reported Thursday.
Citing Foreign Agricultural Service data, USAPEEC said June 2012 saw the highest export value ever recorded for the month, at $427 million for 323,034 tons of poultry meat.
