China clarifies pork products eligible from Smithfield plant for export

China reinstated the Smithfield Packing Co. plant in Tarheel, N.C., to export pork products produced after Aug. 1, according to USDA.

Now eligible are pork and pork products including heart and livers, with the exception of kidneys, stomach, intestine and bungs.

The reinstatement clarifies previously ambiguous language about which offal products were acceptable.
