Congress passes Pesticide Registration Improvement Act

The House and Senate last week both passed a reauthorization of the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA), renewing the authority for EPA to partially fund its pesticide registration activities through maintenance fees. The legislation, S. 3552, had widespread support from pesticide registrants, environmental organizations, and agriculture groups-including NASDA.
