Wheat and barley production down In Virginia in 2012

Virginia wheat growers experience significant production loss although nationally the crop was up 13%.
 
Virginia wheat producers averaged a yield of 65 bushels per acre with their 2012 crop, down by 6 bushels from the yield of 71 bushels per acre they produced in 2011.
