Dear Friends,

Since President Obama took office, his administration and bureaucrats in Washington have pushed through 52% more economically significant regulations than previous administrations.

These regulations, defined as costing the economy at least $100 million annually, have held back any hope for real job creation.

We all agree that regulations are needed to ensure safe consumer products, but those regulations must be efficient and kept up to date. That’s why I wrote and passed legislation to revise outdated regulations that were holding back small businesses. My legislation, called crowdfunding, will help entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses raise capital to grow and hire new employees.

By getting government out of the way, we can stop the Washington red tape factory and give small businesses the freedom to prosper and grow. I’ll continue to look for ways to roll back overly burdensome regulations to help get our economy back on track.

As always, feel free to contact me if I can ever be of assistance.

God Bless,

Patrick McHenry
Member of Congress
