 Dear Friends,

Fixing our healthcare system to make care more affordable for every American is one of the critical tasks of our time. Unfortunately, when pushing through his healthcare reform law, President Obama decided to focus instead on insurance reform. The ObamaCare mandate forces every American to either purchase an insurance plan, or have their taxes raised and be put into government run healthcare.

These reforms do nothing to actually lower the price of healthcare. In fact, the Kaiser Family Foundation has released a study showing that healthcare costs have risen by $2,500 per family since ObamaCare became law.

That’s why conservatives in Congress have pushed to repeal this legislation and replace it with real, patient-centered healthcare reform focused on lowering costs. We’ll enact medical liability reform, permit the purchase of health insurance across state lines, expand health savings accounts, and ensure access for patients with preexisting conditions.

I’m looking forward to putting real reforms in place to stop the skyrocketing cost of healthcare.

I’d like to know what you think, so as always, feel free to contact me if I can ever be of assistance.
God Bless,

Patrick McHenry
Member of Congress
