Tyson Foods Inc. agreed to pay $950,000 to settle a class-action donning and doffing lawsuit covering 1,200 workers at a Council Bluffs, Iowa meat processing plant, a Tyson spokesman confirmed.

“The matter has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties,” Worth Sparkman told Meatingplace by email.

According to the Associated Press, under the tentative settlement current and former workers could claim payments from a $271,000 pot, with plaintiffs' lawyers receiving $340,000 for out-of-pocket costs and $309,000 in attorneys' fees.
