House measure launches new immigration debate

WASHINGTON – November’s elections promised to supercharge efforts to revamp the nation’s immigration system. An early test will come this week when the House takes up a bill that would make it easier for more foreign students to remain in the U.S. after graduating with advanced college degrees.
