North Carolina Cooperative Extension had a great turnout for the National Extension Branding Initiative launch webinar on Jan. 10. We are excited to begin the process of adapting this initiative in North Carolina.
If you were unable to watch, you can view the recorded session at: http://connect.extension.iastate.edu/p3tw0ff8no6/

Cooperative Extension administrators at N.C. State University and N.C. A&T State University have endorsed the adoption of this campaign in North Carolina in conjunction with our centennial celebration in 2014, and Extension communicators at both universities are getting to work on the project right now.

To prepare the best marketing materials possible, we need your help. If you have worked with a client who you believe can give a compelling testimonial about the value and impact of Cooperative Extension, we hope you will let us know. Please send us your name, county or department and contact information along with the client’s name and a brief description of how this client has been helped and what he or she has said about the impact of that help on his or her life or business. Send this information via email to Natalie Hampton (Natalie_hampton@ncsu.edu), Cathy Gant Hill (chill@ag.ncat.edu) or Dee Shore (dee_shore@ncsu.edu).

In the coming weeks, we’ll be following up to identify clients for interviews and photographs that help tell the story of Extension’s impact across our various program areas and geographical locations on a diverse group of individuals.

As we prepare for the centennial marketing rollout, please continue to use current North Carolina Cooperative Extension materials available in the online marketing toolkit at http://cals.ncsu.edu/agcomm/Toolkit/index.htmlor, for A&T staff members, those materials developed in conjunction with A&T’s Agricultural Communications.

There are also printed materials – the leave-behind brochure and an information card – that we encourage county centers to use, at no cost. Both are complimentary pieces for the Extension mission banner-ups that you check out now. We plan to set a future date to transition from the old materials to the new national brand materials.

The printed marketing materials can be ordered through the form found on the Extension resources page: http://www.cals.ncsu.edu/agcomm/news-center/resources/. To reserve the Extension banners for events, contact Ramona Herring, 919.513.3107 or rsherrin@ncsu.edu.
