North Carolina Pork Conference Jan. 31-Feb. 1 Thursday, January 31st - Friday, February 1st
If you haven't already done so, make your plans now to attend the 2013 NC Pork Conference. We look forward to seeing you there!
Check out the schedule for the 2013 NC Pork Conference below and read a brief overview of some of the activities we have planned. Specifically, seminars scheduled for Thursday will provide you with timely and important industry information. Also, we will be recognizing the NCPC award winners on Friday morning at the annual awards breakfast.
Here are the important links and information to finalize your plans.
Industry seminars, including those for Operator in Charge credits, will begin on Thursday, January 1st at 9:00 in the Martin Building on the NC State Fairgrounds. There will be two hours of OIC credit offered during the morning session, followed by updates by representatives of the National Pork Board and the National Pork Producers Council. A complimentary lunch will be provided. Other seminars will follow in the afternoon including another one-hour seminar for OIC credit and an update on the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources by the Mitch Gillespie, the new assistant secretary for the environment.
Registration is free for the educational sessions on Thursday, but we ask that you register so that we may plan accordingly. You may register online to attend.
The members-only annual Bacon Bash fundraising event which supports the NCPC Political Action Committee will be held at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley beginning at 5:30 pm on Thursday evening. You may also buy your ticket and register online for the Bacon Bash. Tickets are required for admission. Call Angie Maier at 919-781-0361 or email her at angie@ncpork.org if you have any questions about Bacon Bash.
The NCPC award winners will be honored on Friday morning during the Annual Awards Breakfast at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley. These awards recognize and honor folks in NC's pork industry that are making a difference. Registration for the breakfast is $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley for the conference at a reduced rate of $109 and the deadline is January 25th. Please call 1-800-228-9290 or 919-781-7000 to reserve your room for $109. Be sure to tell them you are with NC Pork!
