Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will meet Jan. 17 in Raleigh

The N.C. Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council will hold its quarterly meeting, which is open to the public.

Thursday, Jan. 17 at 9 a.m.

Members will be updated on the work of several committees and on a series of listening sessions the council has been conducting. Following these updates, the council will take part in a facilitated strategic planning discussion.

The Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council was created by the General Assembly in 2009. Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler serves as chairman of the 27-member group, which includes farmers, educators, food industry executives, state agency heads, community activists and local-food advocates.
