The N.C. Agritourism Networking Association will hold its seventh-annual conference at the Courtyard Marriott in Carolina Beach Feb. 21-22. The event will feature workshops, guest speakers and visits to several coastal agritourism farms.

“With more than 600 agritourism farms across the state, there is a farm-related experience out there for everyone to try,” said Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler. “This conference is a great way for those invested in rural tourism to network, share ideas and learn how to improve their farms.”

On Feb. 21, attendees can participate in optional farm tours followed by a reception at Silver Coast Winery in Ocean Isle Beach. A full day of workshops is scheduled for Feb. 22 focusing on how agritourism farms and local tourism entities can partner to stimulate regional economies.

Early registration by Feb. 5 is $75 for members, $85 for non-members or $35 for cooperative extension staff, five-year ANA members and 10-year members. The registration fee increases to $100 after Feb. 5.

The N.C. Agritourism Networking Association consists of representatives from more than 250 agritourism farms across the state. Agritourism activities can range from pick-your-own produce and pumpkin patches to wedding venues and wineries.
