HSUS-UEP housing pact heading into new Congress

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and United Egg Producers (UEP) expect legislation to be introduced in Congress soon to establish a national standard for hen housing, UEP president Chad Gregory announced at UEP's animal welfare committee meeting Jan. 28.
