Agritourism conference planned for Rockingham County Feb. 28

Text of StoryThe N.C. Agritourism Networking Association will host a conference titled “Growth and Prosperity in the Next Season” for farmers interested in learning more about the economic benefits of agritourism. The event includes speakers from regional agritourism farms, as well as economic-development specialists.


Scheduled speakers are Andre Nabors, N.C. Department of Commerce; Brenda Sutton, Cooperative Extension; Arthur Dick, Willow Oaks Plantation; Byrd Isom, Millstone Creek Orchard; Guido van der Hoeven, N.C. State University; Norma Burns, Bluebird Hill Farm; Cheryl Ferguson, Plum Granny Farm; and Bob Reichel, Huckleberry Trail Farm.

Registration is $40 for NCANA members and potential members, or $20 for Cooperative Extension staff. The deadline for registration is Feb. 25.
