TOMORROW AT 10:30 AM: Hagan discusses NC impact of sequestration

U.S. Senator Kay R. Hagan will hold a press conference call tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. to discuss the negative impact of sequestration on North Carolina’s military communities and the state’s economic recovery.

Unless Congress acts before this Friday, deep, across-the-board cuts will go into effect for the Department of Defense. More than 20,000 civilian employees at North Carolina military bases face potential furloughs and more than $121 million in collective pay cuts. Hagan will speak about that and other consequences of sequestration in North Carolina.
