Shippers/commercial users of I-95 invited to economic impact focus group meetings The North Carolina Department of Transportation is conducting a study of the economic impacts associated with the funding of proposed improvements to I-95, including the impacts of tolling. The research team is documenting the economic issues/impacts associated with the proposed plan to improve I-95 in North Carolina and is conducting three focus groups of shippers/commercial users to solicit input. Any private sector stakeholder is invited to participate in one of these focus groups. The purpose of the focus group meetings is to:
1) Hear from shippers regarding how current and future conditions on I-95 impact business,
2) Understand how the proposed improvements would impact corridor usage, and
3) Determine the impacts of potential funding options (including tolling) on logistics chains.
There will be three private sector focus groups conducted across North Carolina as shown below on February 26 and February 27. Please register using the form link at the bottom of this email.
