Panelists have been selected to settle a dispute the United States pitched to the World Trade Organization over India’s restrictions on imports of U.S. poultry, according to the WTO website.

The proceedings had been delayed due to disagreements between the two countries over the make up of the panel, an Indian Commerce Department official told Indian news outlet The Hindu.

The United States wants the panel to make India relax its ban on imports of chicken legs that India based on avian influenza fears. Washington argues India’s measures don’t jibe with science, international standards and the country’s own rules for domestic poultry.

China, Colombia, Ecuador, the European Union, Guatemala, Japan, Vietnam, Argentina, Australia and Brazil are third parties in the dispute.
