Agritourism conference planned for Henderson County March 28

The N.C. Agritourism Networking Association will host a conference titled, “Growth and Prosperity in the Next Season,” for farmers interested in learning more about the economic benefits of agritourism. The event includes speakers from regional agritourism farms and vineyards, as well as economic-development specialists.

Scheduled speakers are Sonya Hollingsworth, Stepp Farm’s Hillcrest Orchard; Guido van der Hoeven, N.C. State University; Alan Ward, St. Paul Mountain Vineyard; Jim Clarke, Burntshirt Vineyard; and Jane Lee Rankin, Apple Hill Farm.

Registration is $40 for NCANA members and potential members, or $20 for cooperative extension staff. The deadline for registration is March 25.
