The Request for Information (RFI) on Engineered High Energy Crops is now available on the ARPA-E eXCHANGE. The purpose of the RFI is to solicit input regarding the development of an Advance Notice of Intent to prepare a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS). The PEIS would analyze the environmental impacts of potential U.S. Department of Energy programs to support the development and demonstration of engineered high energy crops, such as those being investigated under ARPA-E’s Plants Engineered to Replace Oil program, through field trials.

The comment period for the RFI closes at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, April 19. Responses to the questions stated in the RFI and questions regarding the content of the RFI are to be sent to EngineeredHighEnergyCrops-RFI@hq.doe.gov.
