USDA crop progress report: How does very little sound?

The latest USDA Crop Progress Report shows that only a little more corn has gone into the ground, but not in key corn producing states, though 2% of the crop has emerged. By this time in 2012 49% of the crop had been planted, well ahead of the 31% five year average. For 2013 the number is 5%.
