House Highlights

The U.S. House of Representatives passed. H.R. 1406, The Working Families Flexibility Act of 2013, by a vote of 223-204.H.R. 1406 allows private-sector workers the choice of paid time off, or "comp time", for working overtime hours. (Introduced by Committee Member Rep. Martha Roby)

Thursday, May 9, 2013
The House passed, H.R. 807, the Full Faith and Credit Act, by a vote of 221-207. H.R. 807 requires that the government prioritize all obligations on the debt held by the public in the event that the debt limit is reached.



Senate Highlights

Monday, May 6, 2013
The U.S. Senate passed, S. 743, the Marketplace Fairness Act of 2013, by a vote of 69-27. S. 743 is a bill to restore States' sovereign rights to enforce State and local sales and use tax laws, and for other purposes.

The Senate will continue the debate on amendments to S. 601, the Water Resources Development Act of 2013, next week.
