Tyson Fresh Meats, Inc., the beef and pork subsidiary of Tyson Foods, Inc., has a new senior vice president of pork margin management, the company announced Thursday.

Shane Miller replaces Gary Machan in the role; Machan is retiring after 47 years in the livestock and meat industry. Machan was named senior vice president of pork margin management in 2009.

Miller has worked in the pork industry for more than 20 years, working in accounting and pork sales for IBP, which became Tyson Fresh Meats in 2003. Most recently, he served as vice president of pork pricing.
In his new role, Miller will oversee hog procurement and pork pricing programs for Tyson Fresh Meats.
