Russia has announced that it will allow the import of cooked chicken products from North Carolina, Missouri, Minnesota and Arkansas, according to an update on USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service website.
The move comes some five months after Russia barred prepared meat products produced from pork, beef and turkey, effective Feb. 11.

The notice states that chicken products that are heat-treated to a temperature of 70 degrees C (158 degrees F) or above from those states are eligible. Here’s a list of U.S. plants eligible to ship prepared meat products to Russia.
