N.C. State University's Turfgrass Field Day will be held in Raleigh at the Lake Wheeler Turfgrass Research Lab, Aug. 14, 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. The field day is held once a year and offers the industry and general public a chance to view the Turfgrass Program’s ongoing research trials and speak directly with N.C. State turfgrass faculty and staff.

The range of topics includes integrated pest management, cultural practices, irrigation technologies, aquatic weed management, weed control and more.

Come early for doughnuts and coffee. After the talks, enjoy a catered lunch complete with N.C. State's Howling Cow ice cream. Water and soft drinks will be provided to participants throughout the day.

The field day is open to turf professionals and anyone with a lawn to maintain. Presenters will provide lots of useful tips and tricks. You have the opportunity to speak directly with the top turf scientists in the nation and see, touch and feel the types of grasses most appropriate for North Carolina.

Even if you don’t maintain your own lawn, you will better understand the inputs and maintenance required to help you become an informed buyer. You will also meet the top professionals in the industry who care enough to continually improve their education to better serve you.
