Immigrant labor: Critical lifeblood of Yuba-Sutter agriculture

Yuba-Sutter agriculture, and the economy it supports, relies on a steady supply of immigrant labor — at least that's the general consensus from an informal online survey conducted recently by the Appeal-Democrat.

Of 1,277 respondents, 722 — or 57 percent — agreed that immigrant labor plays a key factor in the support of local agriculture. Thirty-four percent disagreed, and 10 percent had no opinion.
