NC Rural Center's future, pay for ex-president on agenda

Leaders of the N.C. Rural Economic Development Center are expected to hold substantial discussions Wednesday on the future of the agency, which had long been a voice for rural North Carolina within state government. They also will consider what to do about $241,000 in a special severance account built up over the past decade for its longtime president, Billy Ray Hall.
