David Rouzer, Republican candidate for North Carolina's 7th Congressional District, announced today the hiring of key team members for his campaign. The 7th Congressional District race was the closest US House race in the country in 2012 and is expected to be one of the most closely watched races again in 2014.

Brock McCleary will serve as the campaign's General Consultant. McCleary, a political strategist and consultant for Long Nyquist & Associates, has held several senior roles at the National Republican Congressional Committee, including Deputy Political Directory where he oversaw the pickup of 10 Democratic seats. McCleary previously served as Communications Director for North Carolina Congressman Patrick McHenry and has worked on a variety of state and federal political and public affairs campaigns.

Bob Rosser, President of Impact Strategies, will serve as a senior advisor to the campaign. Rosser has worked on numerous political and public affairs campaigns across North Carolina, including campaigns for Senators Jesse Helms and Lauch Faircloth, the NC House and Senate Republican Caucuses, and independent committees. He brings over 30 years of experience in North Carolina politics to the campaign.

Nicole McCleskey of Public Opinion Strategies will serve as the campaign's pollster. Public Opinion Strategies, a Virginia-based firm, has worked with over 75 Congressional campaigns across the country and is widely recognized as the nation's leading Republican Polling Firm. In 2012, McClesky conducted over 100 focus groups for Republican campaigns, including Mitt Romney for President, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the Republican Governor's Association.

Brad Todd and Guy Harrison of Virginia-based On Message, Inc. will create traditional and digital media content for the campaign. Todd has consulted on the campaigns of Governors Bobby Jindal and Jack Dalrymple, Senators Thad Cochran and Ron Johnson, and over twenty members of Congress. Harrison served as Executive Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee during the historic 2010 elections when House Republicans won 63 seats and gained the majority in the House.

Returning to the campaign team for this election cycle are Sarah Hill Waters as Finance Director and Jessica Wood as Communications Director. Waters has served as Finance Director for multiple Congressional campaigns in North Carolina. Wood is the owner of Majority Connections, a communication consulting firm in North Carolina, and has worked with a variety of local, state, and federal political and public affairs campaigns.
