As we move further into September, I would like to update you on my work for the people of Eastern North Carolina. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to visit with many individuals from the Third District during the month of August. Taking a Stand on Syria The media continues to highlight the possibility of American military involvement in Syria. Throughout this debate, please know that my stance will remain firm - I will vote against any proposal that authorizes the United States military to intervene in Syria. News You Can Use For those who know middle school and high school students who are active in local volunteer efforts, the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is now accepting applications. The program recognizes young people who regularly serve their community by offering a grant award and paid trip to Washington, DC to the winner from each state.
Thank you for taking the time to read about some of my work for the Third District. For daily updates, please follow me on Facebook and Twitter. To contact me or learn more about the services my office provides for Eastern North Carolinians, please visit my web site.
