State Farmers Market to host Sweet Potato Day on Sept. 26

North Carolina is the largest producer of sweet potatoes in the nation, and the State Farmers Market is celebrating with Sweet Potato Day. Visitors can enjoy free samples of a sweet-potato dessert and pick up new recipes to try at home. In addition, vendors will have a bounty of sweet potatoes available for purchase.


United Healthcare also will sponsor SocialBox, an interactive photo booth that allows users to upload photos from special events directly to their Facebook and Twitter accounts. Users also can print souvenir photos from the event.
